KR Farms started selling products on May 13, 2013 at the Pybus soft opening and a total of more than 315 market days since then. Handcrafted soap was the first product and since 2013, KR Farms has added hand and body lotion, lip balms, bath bombs, CBD cream, face clay, liquid soap and seasonal items like bath salts and soy candles. Customer favorites include Wenatchee Apple soap, lotion and lip balms! Kevin and Ruth Erwert operate KR Farms and both are passionate about the community and market. With 27 years of employment as the Chelan County PUD Recruiter, Ruth enjoys building relationships with people and is a strong ambassador for the Wenatchee Valley and Pybus Market - encouraging out of town people to visit the market, describing the attributes of the community, places to visit and things to do. KR Farms has financially supported the growth of Pybus, including a corporate "KR Farms" paver. Ruth and Kevin support the market's mission, including the purchase of goods and services from local businesses. Wherever possible, ingredients for our products are sourced locally. Ruth provides an excellent customer experience to local residents and visitors at the market, she is helpful to others vendors that are new to the market and respected by merchants. KR Farms makes, and will continue to make, all products sold at Pybus. It's a privilege to be part of the Pybus family and community.
KR Farms grows all of the herbs and flowers used in making the soap products. For example, spearmint, peppermint, roses, calendula, lavender, rosemary, lemongrass and basil are used in the handcrafted soaps; and local honey is used in the lip balms. All KR Farms products are handcrafted at our home in East Wenatchee.
KR Farms products are a labor of love. Once you use our handcrafted products, you'll recognize quality ingredients. We cure our soaps for at least 4 weeks to ensure a nice hard bar that lasts a long time, and we grow many herbs in our gardens that are added to our soaps. We care about the future of our planet and understand the importance of promoting the production and use of sustainable palm oil. To this end, we purchase palm oil from suppliers dedicated to the vision of RSPO (Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil).
We also create a rich, thick and moisturizing Hand and Body Lotion to re-hydrate and soften your skin. Made with Aloe, Shea Butter, Coconut Oil, Safflower Oil, Jojoba Oil and vitamins A and E, our lotions are offered in four of our customer favorite soap scents, Red Clover Tea, Lavender, Oatmeal Milk and Lemongrass. And fragrance free, too. We also provide custom orders upon request!
There's nothing fancy about our labels or packaging - everything is homemade from our house to yours. We source our products locally and responsibly - this supports our goal to keep our product prices low so that you can enjoy using handcrafted soaps and lotions at very affordable costs.
