My name is Kira and I am so excited to be sharing my new adventure with you. A little about me, I am from the small town of Coggon, Iowa, which is where my love for bartending and mixology was born. In 2006 my family opened a small bar and grill in Coggon. I learned everything from serving to bartending and even cooking! I cooked my first steak on the grill with my grandpa watching over my shoulder!! I learned so much about drinks and mixology from my aunt and father in those first few years. I then moved to Cedar Rapids and have been bartending, serving, and managing ever since! I completed my bachelor’s degree in 2013, but making drinks and meeting new people has always had my heart. I have been the General Manager of a bar and grill for the past few years now and am ready to use this knowledge to help make special moments for all of my clients.
