About

The Charlotte Garden Club is a non-profit 501(C)(3) Organization.
WHO WE ARE: Warm and welcoming. Open to all. First-time gardeners to lifelong green thumbs and hort industry professionals. Glad to share advice, plants, and gardens. We’ve been diggin’ Charlotte since 1926 and we are the largest garden club in Charlotte…for so many reasons.

WHAT WE DO: Hold monthly meetings featuring national speakers (free for members). Host a fabulous garden tour each spring. Sponsor a $1,000 horticultural scholarship each semester at Central Piedmont Community College. Explore local horticultural attractions and private gardens. Volunteer at McGill Rose Garden. Help new gardeners build confidence. Make new friends!

WHEN WE MEET: Monthly meetings are Monday nights, September through April, from 6 to 8:30 PM at Mint Museum Randolph, 2730 Randolph Road. Other events tend to be weekday evenings or weekends.

Established in 1926 by civic leader J.B. Ivey, our purpose is to expand the knowledge and love of gardening through educational programs and community projects under the direction of experts in horticulture and design.
