Palouse Prairie Farms began in 2006 and is located in Troy, Idaho east of Moscow approximately 18 miles. We raise USDA Certified Grass Fed, antibiotic and hormone free Beef and USDA Certified antibiotic and hormone free Heritage Pork. Our grass fed and pasture raised beef is not only delicious, it's good for your health and locally raised. Our low impact farming techniques allow us to produce some of the highest quality and best tasting beef and pork on the Palouse, while acting as stewards to the land we use to do it.
Palouse Prairie Farms offers beef and pork by the individual cut at the Moscow Farmers Market and Moscow Food Coop. We also sell by the quarter, half and whole animal. All of our meat is processed at a local USDA inspected facility at the University of Idaho. We direct market 100% of our products locally through local markets, local restaurants, and on-farm sales.
100 Percent Grass Fed Antibiotic And Hormone Free Pastured Non Gmo Holistic Management Cover Crops
Palouse Prairie Farms utilizes sustainable ranching and mob grazing practices to help keep cattle, air, land, water, and humans healthy. For the past 12 years we have incorporated many land restoration practices into our farm systems to encourage a diverse ecosystem. These systems include sustainable water development, native plantings (including the rare Palouse Prairie plantings, our namesake), fencing out waterways, cover cropping, large-scale composting, diverse perennial cropping and many more. We have also incorporated innovative solar, gravity-fed, low-impact watering and fencing systems into our cattle rotations so we can mange livestock easier and more efficient, while improving our land while we do so.
We encourage customers to ask questions and to come see our working farm in action. We host an annual farm tour, this year held on Wednesday, May 23rd, 2018 from 3-5pm, where you can get a first hand view of how we manage our land and animals. Please contact us to register or for additional details.
