Nice Handmade House

🌟 Hello!
My name is Yini Zheng and I am a high school art student who’s looking for opportunities to showcase my artwork and love for my culture! My goal for my business is to make people aware and know more about the awesome stories and traditional artwork in Chinese history. This family-run business highlights our specialties: my father’s expertly hand-carved wood decoration pieces, during which he also teaches me the basics of carving simple designs (simple animals are what I make). My personal specialty is designing and putting together the semi - traditional Beijing Opera Dolls, which represents the face of characters of famous legends/myths or people from Chinese history that had a significant impact on its society. Many of my designs are inspired by traditional styles and stories, hoping to ensuring each piece connects to the rich cultural heritage they represent. I’m excited to share my work and the stories behind it with everyone!
P.S. If I manage to figure out how to organize wood carving lessons, we might plan to offer a simple carving station that doesn’t require any large or complex or dangerous machinery. ✌️
