I have discovered homemade products based on our household needs, i.e. beeswax candles originated from researching ways to manage the old air in our historic Ybor house upon inhabiting it when our firstborn William was 1 and 1/2 years old - beeswax neutralizes toxic ions in the air.

I started researching sunscreen when I was pregnant with my second born Ethan John and was low on vitamin D. I was incredulous because my exercise was walking in nature every day in the Florida sun... turns out the sunscreen I was using had ingredients that blocks the vitamin D, so I started mixing homemade goodness with zinc (which works as a physical barrier to the harmful rays as efficiently as chemicals that soak into the skin). Then one day EJ was prescribed a pharmaceutal anti-fungal for a nargly rash and his bottom only got worse! So I started researching... turns out zinc is the commonly used natural barrier in diaper rash creams, and clove essential oil is naturally anti-fungal. I mixed up a baby buttom cream and the rash was healing within one day!

At one point in time I was limited by my husband Ivan, and son Will to buy only plants that produce fruit. After one slip I realized their seriousness and started working on what our land can produce. Propagating has become an endeavor of mine as I enjoy earthing with my two littles E.J. and Ember. I recently resigned from my social working job after nine years and since have taken opportunity to establish our household business officially.
