My craft is wood fired ceramics, hand made with local materials. As much as is possible, clay, stone, and wood from Appalachia are turned to one of a kind functional pottery. The character of every piece is determined as much by the history of the material and the drama of the fire as it is by my vision. The practice being shared here is an alignment of human and environmental forces, illustrating the interbeing of our every day.
