Encouraging natural biological diversity in our fields, maintaining a healthy soil ecosystem and healthy, vigorous plants helps to keep major pest problems to a minimum. As a last resort, we use organic approved pesticides. For weed control, we use reusable weed barrier fabric and mulch, and we also do a lot of hoeing and pulling. We use drip irrigation and mulch to conserve water. We also collect rainwater off of our greenhouse and use capillary watering systems in the greenhouse to conserve more water.

I grew up in Moscow and 10 years ago found myself back here with my husband and young children.
When my longtime friend Hillary Talbott-Williams asked me to partner with her in taking over the cut-flower business of her in-laws (Ruth and Jack Griffith of Cottonwood Creek Flowers) in 2014, I jumped at the chance. I love flowers, gardening and design, and found that I enjoy the variety of challenges that come from running a small farm on the Palouse. Hillary moved on to new adventures in 2018, but we're still best friends and I'm still here and loving the life of flowers! My husband Adam and kids Neva and Orion help in a million ways, and our goal is to grow the best variety of long-lasting flowers in the area, and to make them available to as many as possible.
