Kaphiy Roasters

We are a start-up small coffee roasting business. We resourced and bought our green beans from coffee farmers entirely operated and run by women from Northern Peru by direct trade to be roasted in Portland, Oregon. We work on small batches of specialty coffee from one of Peru's best coffee areas.
Peruvian coffee makes only 6% of coffee imported to the USA -the world's leading importer of coffee. There is a market and a desire or need for high-quality Peruvian coffee. Peruvian coffee has entered a new and extraordinary moment where coffee growers and connoisseurs recognize the quality and potential of our coffee beans, regions, and unique microclimates.
Our solution is putting Peruvian coffee on the map by building personal relationships with Peruvian coffee growers, especially women-owned working farms, using these incomes to raise, support, and empower not only them but also their families.
My small business would focus on direct /fair trade by buying coffee without intermediaries and bringing it to Portland to be roasted and commercialized.
Part of my plan dream in the future is to export Peruvian coffee from Portland to Germany and other big consumers of coffee around the world, such as Finland and other Scandinavian countries, Norway, Sweden, and Germany.
