Pleurotus cystidiosus, AKA "Abalone Mushroom," named for its similar taste and texture to Abalone shellfish. Compared with other gourmet Oyster Mushroom varieties, the Abalone Mushroom is more 'buttery', with a thick, meaty stipe (the stalk or stem of a mushroom) most like a King Oyster Mushroom.
