Cordyceps militaris (mushroom)

Cordyceps miltaris is a highly-regarded medicinal mushroom known to provide performance-enhancement during athletic training. It also happens to be a delicious gourmet mushroom with great visual appeal provided by the bright orange, club-shaped 'fingers' it produces, lending a 'chicken broth' flavour to any dish they are added to. In the wild, the Cordyceps family of mushrooms parasitize insects, with a relative known for creating 'Zombie Ants', but we use vegan substrate materials in all our cultivated mushrooms, replacing insect with plant-based proteins for our mushrooms to digest. There are some cool-weather cultivation requirements that limit the availability of our fresh Cordyceps mushrooms, so get 'em while they're... cool!
We now sell these in the form of a 'grow kit' containing the mushrooms and myceliated substrate, which is also nutirious and delicious (contains organic brown rice, chickpeas and coconut water - no wheat or soy) - use it like Tempeh.
