Winecap Mushroom

Stropharia rugosoannulata, AKA "Winecap Mushroom." Prominent, burgundy caps with dark gills cook to a delicate wine-and-baby-potato-flavoured delicacy with thick, crunchy stipes (the stalk or stem of a mushroom) adding textural variety. We grow these in our seasonal, outdoor, raised beds alongside our Cascade Hops, with flushes of mushrooms at either side of the full heat of Summer. Enjoy them as a Portabella substitute whenever you can!
