Ronald McDonald House Ottawa

Ronald McDonald House Charities Ottawa (RMHCO) provides a warm, safe, and compassionate environment for families of seriously ill children. Operating 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, our House is conveniently located next to the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO).
Currently, we have 14 private suites for out-of-town families, soon to be 36 suites. Our house includes various shared spaces where families can gather to watch TV, cozy up by the fireplace, or enjoy the serenity of our outdoor areas. In addition to free parking and laundry facilities, families have access to a large kitchen where they can prepare their own meals or enjoy delicious homemade dinners provided by our dedicated volunteers. We also offer pet therapy and music therapy to our families providing additional comfort and joy to our families.

In addition, we operate two family rooms within CHEO, creating welcoming lounge spaces equipped with snacks, coffee, showers, laundry facilities, and four overnight sleep rooms for families in need.
