Taqueria Habanero is a Mexican restaurant bringing 99%* authentic Mexican homestyle cooking to the DMV, with Puebla roots located in DC’s Edgewood and Columbia Heights neighborhoods, and in College Park, Maryland. At Taqueria Habanero, customers experience the menu and flavors of a taqueria found on the streets of Mexico, paired with the warmth and hospitality of a sit-down, family restaurant. Founded by Dio and Mirna, who emigrated to the United States nearly 20 years ago, Taqueria Habanero is built on their vision to provide the most welcoming cultural experience, in a single bite. In collaboration with many family members, Dio and Mirna
have created a place where both regulars and those newer to authentic Mexican cuisine feel welcomed to share in their family’s love for their culture and tradition.
