Elements of Wonder
Material Goods/Craft/Flea/Art
A few summers ago, I broke my wrist on the first day of a family vacation at the Chesapeake Bay. Instead of enjoying the usual vacation activities, I found myself wandering along the shore, collecting oyster shells. Without a plan, I began experimenting with possibilities and soon began transforming these shells into decoupage ornaments and small dishes. From that creative process, Elements of Wonder was born.
Tinkering and creating have always been my therapy, soothing both my mind and body. My kitchen often looks like a cozy craft shop, full of inspiration. I also love hand-painting rocks with messages of hope and encouragement—little personal mantras for the soul. These simple, thoughtful creations have become my way of connecting to wonder and sharing that feeling with others.
