Dawn Waters Art

After a career in advertising and communications, I began working with fiber, first making felted wearables and then 2-D paintings. I was introduced to the felting needle and have been making realistic portraits with wool and a needle - it's like tattooing,, but with fiber. I've recently begun creating watercolor paintings - odd faces with irreverent titles.

I'm self-taught, exploring mediums that interest me, creating art with subjects that intrigue me.

I spent most of my life in Virginia and now call Gulfport, FL home. I'm part of the annual Gulfport art studio tour, ArtJones, and have shown my work in galleries across the country, and my work has been on the cover of Fiber Art Now (summer, 2019).

For the Indie Pop-up Market, I'll be offering my small watercolors. The price range is $150-$200.
