Sixteen Mill is a Brooklyn-based bakeshop specializing in organic and gut-friendly baked goods that are handcrafted with locally sourced ingredients. Founder Talia Tutak is health conscious, and not a fan of overly fatty or sugar-laden foods, so she always limits the fat and sugar content of her baked goods to just what is needed, without ever compromising on flavor. The bakery offers a wide range of vegan, gluten-free and refined-sugar-free treats and breads. They also use local heritage grains, like spelt or einkorn, for their unique sourdough focaccia and overnight cinnamon rolls. All of the breads are gluten-free, naturally leavened, fermented for 24 hours and baked to order in small batches.
Talia’s passion is to invent new products and recreate time-honored classics. She loves to experiment with flavors that put her signature on old favorites and introduce new taste sensations.
