Snapdragon

Folk-art inspired embroidery and art dolls, knitting, paper garlands, and more. No single Snapdragon offering is exactly the same. Each is stitched, embroidered, beaded, knit, and embellished by hand. For my hoops and Ultrasuede dolls, I employ crafting techniques and patterns inspired by diverse cultures: Mexican, Haitian, Native American, and Hmong. Each creation is detailed, colorful, and often embellished with flowers, shells, and other charms. I use recycled fabric and repurposed decorative elements as much as possible. My decorative paper bird garlands and ornaments are crafted from vivid Indian handmade papers and shaped using a die-cut that I designed. My various crafts are united by their striking colors, folk aesthetic, and meticulous detail.
