Delia's Mexican Bite
Hello, I'm Delia Fuentes. I was born in Mexico and immigrated to Vancouver in search of tranquility and to enjoy the beauties of this city. Here, life gave me the love of my life, one more reason to stay as a permanent resident. Over time, I began to miss those delicacies that my mom baked when I was a child. Sweet breads full of tradition and love that brightened up our tables. Inspired by their recipes, I ventured to recreate them, starting with my favorites: conchas. Soon I followed with the rosca de reyes and the pan de muerto. When my friends tried my bread, they were delighted. For many, like me, those flavors transported them back to our beloved Mexico. I learned from my mom. My mission is that each bite brings a sweet moment to your day, because love always tastes better when it comes with good bread. Thanks to the support of amazing friends, the Mount Pleasant community, and Flavors of Hope, I was encouraged to turn this passion into my bakery and baking business. Now, I share a little piece of Mexico with everyone who crosses my path. Seeing the faces of those who try my bread and feel that touch at home is my greatest reward. I make traditional Mexican sweet bread with all my heart, plus vegan and gluten-free options, so that no one is left without enjoying these delicacies that I learned from my mom. My mission is that every bite brings a sweet moment to your day, because love always tastes better when it comes with good bread.
