About
We are craft producers of small batch chocolate bars, barks, cocoas and confections. Our products are produced by hand in small batches to ensure quality and freshness. Whenever possible we purchase value added cacao products from the country of origin, and then we melt, blend, temper and create unique confections with superior flavor and quality. We are known for our premium quality chocolate bars – in the white wrapper – as well as crunchy fruit and nut barks, rich and decadent hot chocolates, and hand made gourmet truffles.
Production Practices
We source local ingredients when we can. Much of our product is not available locally – cacao is only available from locations 20 degrees north and south of the equator! When we can source locally grown and produced items such as cream, butter, or fruit products (such as cream from Battenkill Creamery, honey from local producers, strawberries, raspberries and blueberries from local growers, etc.) we do. We also try to source products from local businesses, such as Fleur de Sel from Saratoga Olive Oil, premium teas from Saratoga Tea & Honey, and peanut butter from Saratoga Peanut Butter Company, etc.
We source our cacao responsibly. We only work with companies that have clear and transparent sustainability and fair labor practices. Some of our products are certified organic, and direct trade (meaning the supply chain is comprised of the grower, producer/seller, and us). We are striving to add more certified organic and fair trade products as we grow.

Saratoga Chocolate Co. was founded in 2016 by Allison and Henry Rose. We are local producers of small batch chocolate bars, barks, cocoas and confections. Our products are produced by hand in small batches to ensure quality and freshness.
