StarrBlaze Glassworks
Vendor
Intrigued by glass blowing since the age of 13, Sara Shields aspired to become an artist of the medium herself. At age 26, Sara found a local establishment that offered affordable classes. Over the next 4 years she continued to take more elaborate classes and rented space at the establishment to continue improving her skills. Eventually Sara invested in her own equipment to work full time from home. She has officially been in business since 2016, selling both retail and wholesale. StarrBlaze Glassworks can be found in several shops on the East Coast as well as local farmer’s markets and music festivals. Live streaming can be viewed from Sara’s personal FB page. The company name represents her two children Aiden Blaze and Lucy Starr, who she says keep her motivated to push harder in what she’s passionate about and continue following her dreams. Sara takes pride in her work, as it not only is art, but is also functional.
Using a torch I shape and design items made of borosilicate glass.
