Velvet Pastures Elk Ranch

We raise our elk in Lee, New Hampshire, in a natural, free-range environment. We use no growth hormones or antibiotics, and their food comes exclusively from our pastures & hay fields. We are committed to raising healthy grass-fed animals and continuing active farming in our community. We have diversified our farm and now pasture raise chickens (roasters), and grow Asian pears. The land is protected by a permanent conservation easement through USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Services grassland protection program. The easement enables us to retain open space and promote sustainable agriculture in Lee.
