Andrew Rebel

Born and raised in the small railroad town of Santa Margarita California, Andrew Rebel’s childhood was a far cry from the stereotypical West Coast kid. Surrounded by ranchland, Andrew grew up wearing cowboy boots, riding horses, and listening to Alison Krauss. His family never missed church on Sunday. The church pianist was like a grandma figure to Andrew, and old hymn tunes and gospel melodies became his musical foundation.

Throughout his entire life, music was Andrew’s primary passion and gifting. By the time he was eighteen, Andrew was proficient on over fifteen instruments and had written hundreds of songs. Days after his high school graduation he hit the road in a fifteen passenger van and began touring the country as a member of a southern rock band. He continued to tour the world, playing everything from metal to alt-country, and managed to earn a bachelor’s degree in music composition and vocal performance along the way.

After some success, Andrew returned to the church and became a preacher. But after a short time, he realized that he was neglecting what truly brought him to life – writing, recording, and performing his songs. Today, Andrew Rebel stands poised and ready to share his unique California Country sound with the world.
