After experiencing a setback with my diaper cake business, I decided to pursue my passion in the culinary field. Following the completion of my degree in Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management, I embarked on a journey to establish Highly Gifted Creations as a prominent name in the culinary industry. It was during this exploration that I stumbled upon a recipe for no-bake cheesecake, which sparked my creativity and led to the development of more innovative recipes. Despite facing financial constraints, I persevered in perfecting my creations and eventually took a leap of faith by introducing my products at various events like craft shows, fairs, and farmers markets. As my business began to flourish, so did my self-confidence, thanks to the unwavering support and sacrifices made by my family. With their help, I was able to witness the fruits of my labor and invest in a horse trailer that I am transforming into a mobile dessert shop and party trailer. Currently, I am actively seeking a food hall or retail space to expand my business even further. My journey has taught me the value of continuous growth and I am determined to never stop evolving and pushing boundaries in pursuit of my dreams.

n my experience, I have noticed a lack of representation of women who look like me in the business world, whether it be small or large enterprises. It is crucial to me to serve as a role model not only for my daughters but for our entire community, demonstrating that women, especially women of color, can establish a business and achieve success. Our talents and abilities often go unnoticed, underappreciated, and disregarded. We are more than just mothers; we are individuals with inherent gifts and skills that should not be concealed from the world simply because societal expectations may not include us venturing into entrepreneurship. My goal is to create a lasting legacy, a family business that will serve as a foundation for numerous future endeavors. I aspire to instill hope in those who are unsure of where to start and to serve as an inspiration and mentor. I have not had a mentor or guide to assist me through the process of learning about entrepreneurship, but I aim to change that for others. Through my Gourmet Cookies and No-Bake Cheesecakes in a Jar, I will pave the way for a brighter future, one sweet treat at a time!
