Pulav Rice

Pulav rice is rice cooked with Basmati rice, spices and vegetables. Basmati is an extra long fragrant rice grown in the foothills of the Himalayas usually in the Punjab region (Punjab region is split between India and Pakistan). Basmati is the Champagne of rice but the name does not have a patent protection like Champagne so I believe it is grown outside Punjab as well. We use Basmati rice from Punjab.
