Marley Family wildcrafted seaweeds are a true delicacy, picked by hand, and carefully culled to bring you the best quality in the world. All of our seaweed is harvested in a sustainable fashion, one by one, from the most pristine waters in California.
We harvest kombu, nori and wakame and dry them out in the sun using traditional Japanese methods.

Founder Spencer Marley is passionate about local seafood and has worked upon the waters of San Luis Obispo County in several positions for the past 15 years, from being the aquaculture foreman of the Morro Bay Oyster Company, harvesting wild salmon commercially, to working as an engineer on oil spill response ships. He now works shoreside at his alma mater Cal Poly, SLO and spends his free time scouring the tidepools of Big Sur for the finest culinary species of Pacific seaweed.
