Velvet Specialty Cakes is a home based cake business started during the pandemic. I come from a family of bakers and received my first Easy Bake Oven at the age of 4 years old. I grew up baking from my family and myself; sharing my goodies with friends. With nothing to do during the lockdown I started baking and thought it could be a way to make some money, well it was received well enough to give it a name. I mainly specialize in velvet cakes (Red, Pink, Lemon, White, Black, Blue, and Chocolate). I've added flip side cakes of the month (seasonal) to our website as well. Our cakes can be made into cupcakes, which is most popular. What makes our cakes so special is that we use fresh eggs and fresh fruit. The fruit helps cut the sweetness along with sea salt in our icings. Our goal is to serve our community and have a storefront.
Production Practices
Everything fresh and baked from scratch. We purchase our berries and eggs from local farmers.

Mother of 3 adult children and 1 beautiful granddaughter, who loves 2 things; PEOPLE AND BAKING. I've been a registered nurse for 19 years and a baker my entire life. The pandemic changed everything for me. My focus and how I looked a life completely changed. I'm now focused on my relationship with Christ, helping my family, and doing what I love. Life is good and too short to waste! So, eat that cake or cupcake and enjoy it because tomorrow is not promised.
