About

We are a music entertainment group that performs as a solo act up to a quintet, featuring original Americana-Folk style songs. We have performed at the 2023/2024 National Cherry Blossom Festival, the 2023 Washington Folk Festival, the Herndon Festival, the W&OD Trail Family Fun Festival, Earp's Ordinary (9x), Montmartre Cafe (7x), etc. We are recording our debut album now at BIAS Studios and Rick founded and publishes Guitar International magazine (www.guitarinternational.com) and he is a multi-award winning songwriter, who has been interviewed by media outlets in Los Angeles, Nashville, Virginia, Maryland and Arizona.

Rick Landers
Rick Landers publishes Guitar International Magazine (2004 - 2024), is a multi-award winning songwriter, and fronts Rick Landers & Heartland, an Americana-Folk music group. He retired from the Federal government where he served as the Deputy Assistant Inspector General (Communications), Office of the Inspector General, Department of Defense. He is the author of a children's book, "The Adventures if Digit & Tess" and the co-author of, "Press Releases for the Working Musician". He has served as a volunteer on the Friends of the W&OD Trail board of directors and a member of Reston's Multimodal Transportation Advisory Committee and its Pedestrian and Bicycling Advisory Committee. He is the recipient of a DoD-IG Meritorious Civilian Service Medal and a Navy Meritorious Civilian Service Medal. The EEO Chairperson's gavel at the Naval Facilities Engineering Command headquarters is named in his honor.
