We focus on producing black/grey are more difficult to obtain but with recent genetic testing available, we've been more successful. . We strive to proved fiber quality with each generation. .Our 20+ acre farm is located in LaFayette, NY - just minutes south of Syracuse, NY.
We shear our herd in Late April or Early May depending on our shearer's schedule. Our fiber all goes into production each year in several ways- sold as raw fiber to hand spinners/weavers; donated to Empire Alpaca Assoc. Fiber Project, and/or donated to New England Alpaca Fiber Pool. Products sold will be purchased from those 2 co-ops along with a family owned business based in PA with fair trade factories in Lima, Peru.
Yarn and products obtained thru the Empire Alpaca Assoc Fiber Project contain our alpaca fiber from our farm meet the NYS Certified Grown and Produced.
