I create sensory bin mixes for kids. Sensory bins are not only fun but educational. They help improve fine and gross motor skills, social skills, emotional regulation, and language development. My booth allows children and adults to feel the sensory mixes in the bins and see a sensory table set up with bins for inspiration at home. It welcomes kids and adults in to learn more about sensory bins and how they are beneficial for little ones.
I started creating these for my daughter while we were stuck inside during the winter months and she plays daily with them.

My name is Kyla Jo and I am the mama and owner behind The Sensory Play Shop. I am married to my husband Cory, and we have two beautiful girls. Lilly (the oldest) and Rory (our youngest) are 15 months apart and have the BIGGEST personalities.
I have a love of creating, if that is growing my flowers in my urban garden, photographing my clients and creating photos that last a lifetime, or putting together activities and sensory bins for Lilly.
The Sensory Play Shop started all because of my two little girls! As a new mom I am always learning right along with my children. They are teaching me and I am teaching them. I think you have to admit that as a parent, you won’t always know best but you always want the best for them. You have to evolve and grow right along with your kiddos for that to happen. That is how these sensory bins came to life.
