The Artemis Project Inc

The Artemis Project Inc is a local non-profit 501c3 NO KILL animal rescue. We operate mainly in the River Valley Region of AR and OK. Most of our animals are in foster homes to gain socialization and know love for possibly the first time in their short lives. Adoptions are set up through adoption events and/or meet-and-greet appointments. Our rescue also has many NO KILL partner rescues in other states, mostly in the North, that we work with for our highly successful transport program. Through this outlet, we are able to transport many of our animals to these partner rescues where they have a higher adoption rate due to more strict and highly enforced spay/neuter and licensing laws & ordinances. Without transport, we would not have enough adopters in this area to handle the amount of animals we save and need to rehome each year. The service that rescues and shelters provide for their communities day in and day out is simply a "band-aid fix" to the actual homeless animal problem in our region. Someday we pray that spay/neuter laws and licensing ordinances will be passed and enforced here so rescues and shelters are not as necessary. Until then, we go on. One by one until there are none.
