Stanley Dumornay
Hi, my name is Stanley and I am an Indy-based entrepreneur originally from Haiti. I believe that nothing happens by coincidence.
I graduated as a mechanical engineer from the NYU-Tandon School of Engineering and I hold an MBA from HEC-Montreal. However, my passion has always been to help people. I worked for almost 30 years, as a minister, and coach, helping individuals, couples, and families in many parts of the world, to make it through the many challenges of life.
I was doing my MBA at HEC-Montreal in 2013 when I got a chance to speak at a gala and shared about the humanitarian work I was doing in Haiti. Two of my classmates came to me afterward and wanted to go to Haiti to do some humanitarian work with me. This was not long after a terrible earthquake had devastated Haiti. While we were on the trip, one of my friends discovered Manba. Now I have to tell you what that is…
Manba is simply the most delicious peanut butter in the world. It’s the perfect combination of dry roasted peanuts, organic cane sugar, sea salt, and hot pepper.
When we got back, my friend Jason suggested we start making Manba and selling it in Canada. We had no idea how to do that, but that’s how we started this business.
From the start, we wanted our business to be socially responsible. We did so by importing peanuts from Haiti for many years. However, when the political situation turned bad we were forced to stop. We continued to help in other ways such as working with some non-profits focused on doing work in Haiti.
5 months ago, my wife and I decided to move back to the U.S and launched Oulala to sart selling Manba here.
