Colibri Art Cottage

Greetings, my name is Adela Reuscher. I am a local artist residing in the community of Moscow. I create original works of art using watercolor, gouache, inks, and textured medium. The subjects I am most inclined to paint range from: botanicals, florals, hummingbirds, tropical flora and fauna, and cheeky humorous scenes.
Creating my own handmade paper allows me to explore the effects of the paints I use on different surfaces and textures. I also coffee stain my papers and added designs and patterns by using vinyl doilies. Along with making my own paper I create handmade books by binding them using various hand bound methods (mainly Coptic stitch and French link stitch).
Most of my art work comes in ready to display frames. Out of those frames some frames are restored and hand embellished by me using gold leaf. This personal touch accentuates the art work displayed with in.
