RyGun Leatherworks

My leather studio is located in Moscow Idaho. I began working with leather when building a custom sheath for my Grandfather's hatchet. The art and creativity I experienced while making the sheath led to my deep passion for the heritage craftsmanship of leatherwork. After a few more projects, I started sourcing different manufacturers of leather, experimenting with dyes, stamping techniques, stitching and using a variety of animal hides. I have had the fortune to meet with a couple of older leather makers who were eager to share their tricks, tips and tools with me. In today's world of fast paced manufacturing by machine, it is wonderful to create a leather item of quality and beauty that will provide a lifetime of use.
