As a Realtor often times I would impress my clients with my joy of the business by making their experience fun and enjoyable but more often than not a few years down the road when it was time for them to sell their home they would use a different realtor. So, I started to think, how can I make myself stand out amongst the ocean of competition? I realized that I was giving the same gift at closing time that everybody else was doing. Some flowers and a nice card and that wasn’t enough to make them remember me. So, I started making my gifts. It began with little things like a chopping block or a pretty sign and eventually became custom pieces of furniture. Surprisingly it started to really work. My clients would call me years after our transaction. The initial plan was to just make my real clients remember me but people started asking me to make them furniture. One thing lead to another and now I’m building furniture everyday and I couldn’t be happier.
