Crawdad's Classics gets its name from founder, Cordell "Crawdad" Bixler. As a young boy, he enjoyed fishing for crawdads in the ditches of the Missouri bootheel where he acquired his lifetime nickname. His love for hot sauce, led him to create the company which was started in 1995 and purchased by his daughter, Tamie and her husband, Tim in 2009. Crawdad's Classics has attracted many loyal fans over the years. Cordell passed away in 2020, but his legacy still lives. Like Crawdad said," It Don't Get No Better Than This!"
