Circular Thrift is a hyper local thrift business which is focused on championing sustainable fashion practices (including normalizing the re-use of fashion and accessories in communities of affluence - where people can afford to buy new but should cultivate different behavior). I inquired last year about access to the Bexley Farmers Market and was told that I'm ineligible because I am not technically in agriculture. Because my mission is community education and efforts to reduce the impact of fashion production on the environment (including education of consumers about concepts like Fibershed and the connection between agriculture and fashion) I believe that a reevaluation of my application is appropriate. Before the market makes a decision not to allow me to participate as a vendor this year I respectfully request an opportunity to give a 25 minute presentation of how my business model is structured, how I am championing sustainable living which directly supports agriculture and soil health through reduced landfill and incineration of fossil fuel derived fibers, etc. I'm excited to be part of the Farmer's Market for the support of Common Greens to champion sustainable fashion in Central Ohio.
