We, Ken and Sarah, are a father-daughter duo who have headed the call to provide fresh and nutrient dense greens to our families and loved ones by growing microgreens and mushrooms. Our journey has led us to utilize the most sustainable methods available through the substrate we grow on to the packaging we offer our fresh produce in.
Sarah Hettinger
Sarah worked for the New York Botanical Garden as a Project Manager, embracing the delicate balance between curated landscapes and the natural order of the plant world, contributing to the design and installation of the many biophilic gardens found throughout the grounds. In 2023 Sarah left the New York Botanical Garden and registered her own business, Middle Earth Microgreens. She began working with her father to grow nutrient-dense foods so as to benefit the local community through sustainable farming practices, combining the knowledge that both have collected over their lifetimes on how to be the healthiest versions of themselves. Sarah hopes we can all eat green, eat clean, and be healthy together.
