Kombucha Bliss
Specialty Food Artisan
I started making kombucha in 2012 after I discovered GTS. I was immediately hooked and grew my first SCOBY that August. In 2018 I started a YouTube channel to share my experiments and kombucha knowledge with others.
In 2022, I wanted to start selling my SCOBY to my YouTube subscribers so I went through the process of getting licensed with The Department of Agriculture.
I am now licensed as a Food Establishment with the Department of Agriculture and have insurance. I have a small commercial kitchen space in West Chester that my husband and I work out of. We do everything ourselves including bottle and label by hand.
Most of my business is from local Farmer's Markets in Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery counties. In 2024 I've expanded into Philadelphia County. I also have wholesale customers at some natural food stores like Martindale's, Wolff's Apple House, and Swarthmore Co-op in Delaware County.
I love being at farmers' markets. Being able to interact with customers, talk about my story, and answer questions has been so much fun. A product turns into a person when you know the story and people behind it.
I like to change my flavors with the season. Right now our flavor lineup is Pomegranate and Orange (Let's Pom), Pineapple and Cranberry (Pineapple Twist), Ginger and Pears (Ginger Kick), Berry Lavender, Elderberry, and Winter Citrus which combines ginger, elderflower, and oranges.
