Moonstruck Medicine Show creates mythopoetic earth inspired sterling silver jewelry, illustrations, and herbal oils. Each offering crafted to root us into meaning and becoming again and again, tender, open and alive!
Foremost I am a pythophile- a lover and devotee to plants and the animate everything, which is the roots and soul of my creating. I am a mostly self taught multimedia artist. I spent two years teaching myself silversmithing before taking casting classes at The visual Arts Center of Richmond, Va. Working with metal is a primary way I alchemize meaning into life. It is my honor and delight to bring that meaning and connection to others.
As a devotee to plants, ecologies, and this holy earth, and as herbalist of 10 years, i am committed to crafting herbal products with heart and integrity of quality. Quality is known thru relationship. For this reason, the majority of plants used are grown and hand harvested myself, always with knowledge and respect of the particular harvest needs of each plant. Certain plants are harvested from friends lands or woodlands that i have built long relationships with and monitor the health of the stands for years, every year- and adjust when and if I harvest with judicious care for the preservation of these plants and their ecologies.
Illusrations are hand drawn by myself with micron pens and graphite, and printed on archival watercolor paper.

Creating has been my way of healing the wounds of disconnection, and honoring the polyphony of interspecies relations that have healed and tangled and merged and rooted themselves in the water table of my soul. It is where I find myself synthesizing the irreplaceable impact of finding acceptance and belonging amongst violet flower, for instance. Or how I thank the quarry water and refracting leaf light for suspending me in miraculous awe time and time again. It's where I honor the humans and beings who have shaped me, who have loved me, who have shared their own imperfection and brilliance with this world that found me exactly when i needed it. Making and creating has been my gateway into liminal states, a portal where the constructs of time pixilates, my feeling senses dilate, my interior starts to track quite threads of memory and meaning, and my hands and eyes and heart being to coalesce in stories, catharsis, and reverence...
