Bluestem Coffee Roasting Company

Bluestem Coffee Roasting Company is a local small batch specialty coffee roasting company (established in 2024) that would like to sell bags of coffee and offer samples of our selections. Matt Knott, the master roaster, learned the artistry of coffee roasting with North Pole Coffee in Alaska. He went on to start up Minnesota Coffee Roasting Company and was on the board of the Midwest Roasters Guild. He moved to Iowa in 2008 and has been working in sales ever since. His passion for roasting coffee has never diminished, so he and his wife have been meticulously building up a new roasting company to provide the state of Iowa with well-crafted single origin and fine blend coffees. Roasting coffee beans is one part science and one part art and we look forward to showcasing our distinct convergence of this beloved commodity. We think it will be a great addition to the already diverse options at the Des Moines Farmers Market.
