The Womens Center of Jacksonville

At The WCJ, we serve as the dedicated rape crisis center for Duval, Nassau, and Baker counties. Our agency provides an array of vital services, including advocacy, counseling, and educational programs tailored to our community's needs. Our dedicated team of advocates manages a 24-hour rape crisis hotline, ensuring immediate support. We also provide forensic exams for survivors of sexual assault across all genders. We stand alongside survivors and co-survivors at any point in their healing journey, regardless of their decision to report. We aim to provide healing and empowerment within our community.

One of the impactful programs offered by our Prevention Department is Green Dot that is in collaboration with JU. A “Green Dot” symbolizes a moment in time that can be used to end power-based personal violence and support survivors. It is a single choice that someone makes to create safety by intervening on someone else’s behalf or to demonstrate the following norms: that power-based personal violence is not okay and that everyone is expected to do their part. Green Dots will increase safety not only on Jacksonville University’s campus, but in our community as well.
