Peach & Love Farm

We are a family-run orchard that moved to Paonia, Colorado five years ago specifically to grow peaches. We searched for years to find what we believe is the best spot for growing delicious fruit: abundant clean irrigation water from snowmelt, mineral-rich deep topsoil, and a high desert climate that leads to really frickin’ sweet peaches.

Paonia is known for its art, organic farms, and high quality wine production. The same things that produce great wine also produce great peaches.

Our general philosophy to producing really amazing fruit is focused on two things:
We’re obsessed with soil. We go beyond anyone else in Western Colorado when it comes to soil health and building fertility. We grow organically and invest a lot of time and money in our soil.
We are really really efficient and precise with our use of water. Not only do we think that’s responsible living in the CO River Basin, but our trees are healthier because of the attention we place on optimal irrigation.

We chose four varieties of peaches to grow. We essentially chose the best four peaches–the biggest, sweetest, freestone varieties that all ripen a week apart. They aren’t the earliest peaches. They aren’t the latest peaches. They’re the best peaches.

Unlike other organic peach orchards in Palisade and Hotchkiss, we do everything in-house:
-We do the farming
-We do the picking
-We do the packing
-We drive to the fruit to the market
A peach is a fragile and sensitive fruit, so we make sure it’s all done perfect.
