Strike Slip Ceramics

Rachel Bierma is a ceramic artist based in Morrison Colorado. The name Strike Slip is a play on words referencing both a type of fault (Strike Slip) as well as a very humble tool used in ceramics (Slip).

Rachel has a degree in Geological Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines, and uses geologic themes throughout her work. She believes that there is no reason that everyday objects have to be mundane. She combines her knowledge of geology with the nuances of functional ceramics to make work that is intended to be both used and admired.
