Beeswax wraps and bags are sustainable alternatives to single use plastic wraps or plastic bags. My beeswax wraps are made here in MD, by me, and I work with local women and men in the community to assist with various tasks such as sewing the fabric prior to it being waxed by me.

Hi, my name is Rani Pellet, and I am the founder of the Boho Bee Company. My business was born out of a deep desire to make a change in the lives of those I care about most – my family, my community, and my town, Frederick.
I was fortunate to be able to raise three amazing children here in Frederick, who were involved in several outdoor sports and activities on our tiny farm. We grew some of our own veggies, had our own chickens for eggs, recycled and believed we had a light ecological footprint. We thought we were doing all the right things to help look after the environment. That all changed in 2019.
In 2019, during a trip to New Zealand, my niece and nephews told me that plastic bags and plastic wrap were banned in the schools there because they are bad for the environment. Not realizing there were other options, I began to research, looking for alternatives. That is how I got the idea for Boho Bee Company.
My idea turned in to a vision to minimize the use of harmful plastics in our environment by changing the way we package the food we carry with us or store at home. After all, it is just as easy to wrap, pack, take, use, wash and reuse a wax wrap or bag, as it is to continuously purchase plastic bags and wrap. Using and reusing wax wraps and bags has a much lower cost; both financially and environmentally.
Boho Bee beeswax wraps and bags are washable, reusable, biodegradable, extremely cost effective, last for a year or longer, and are eventually compostable! These awesome beeswax food protectors are a zero waste product and are made of only four components, jojoba oil, tree resin, beeswax and 100% cotton fabric.
