About

We have been in the alpaca business since 2006. We strive to maintain a greener planet and with a small crew, we grow our own hay, put it up ourselves, shear the animals once a year inhouse, and have time to take part in alpaca shows throughout the USA, plus raise about 35 chickens, use the manure from the alpacas on our hay fields and large garden, and have bee hives, a farm stand, and live in a beautiful setting with the Cascades in our backyard. We turn the fleece into yarn or felting, and make lovely alpaca garments from beanies, scarves, rugs, art work, quilts, blankets, yarn, roving, batting, etc. When Art's cardiologist said he needed to start eating alpaca, it was amazing to see the difference it made in his life, so we began selling alpaca meat at Locavore in Bend as well as on the ranch. We have over twenty different cuts and sausages. We also started raising fancy laying hens that roam near their Chicken Learning Center house (built like an old fashion one room school house). Art had many hives when he lived in the Valley, so of course we had to have a few in Central Oregon too. We love visitors to visit the ranch whether it is a school visiting, a family outing, or just one or two. We provide tours and prefer if you give us a call to make sure we are available, but if you are in the area, just give us a try. Be ready to get a nose kiss from our ranch greeter, Classy!
