Roots On The Range

Roots on The Range is a family owned farm started in 2018, by my 3 year old daughter Valentine and I in the beautiful Wet Mountain Valley at the base of the Sangre De Cristos. I had always wanted to be self sustainable and Spend time with my family. I have always had a knack for growing and when the opportunity presented itself we bought the property. It started out with a small homemade greenhouse which i would start all the seed in and then move to a 5 acre plot. and evolved into a 3k sqft greenhouse along with the wildlife fenced 5 acres. this year we are erecting another 3k sqft greenhouse. Valentine is now 8 and we spend much of our time tending to chickens and our vegetables. She is learning about conservation of the land, soil erosion and how to care and respect the land and what it can give others and ourselves. An alternative to the unhealthy produce market that most stores provide. Pesticide free, organic produce. And the importance of community. All our field crops are fertilizer is sourced from a local dairy in Florence Colorado which we amend our field with their dry screened manure for fertilizer. Fruits to our biggest production of heirloom tomatoes.
