The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan organization which seeks to encourage voter participation. They educate voters through candidate forums, community events, and by providing non-partisan information on voting. Their Voters' Guide can be accessed at Vote411.org. Head to the DTE manager's tent to talk to volunteers, register to vote, and learn about upcoming elections.
Thryve Garden NY, an urban gardening consultant, will share information about native flowers that attract and provide homes for native pollinators, how to add pollinator-friendly native plants to any garden space, how to design your own garden in your unique space, and organizations that support native pollinators. They will also have a seed bomb making activity for families to take home.
