Eastside Pueblo Farmers Market is a very young and growing market dedicated to our community, economic development and access to the freshest locally grown food on Pueblo's east side. Our space is an inclusive, diverse, and safe community gathering place, committed to supporting local farmers, expanding access to local food, and incubating small businesses by providing an accessible place for entrepreneurs to sell their fresh produce, handmade goods, Cottage Foods and other specialty items. A rotating variety of local resources can often be found at the market

We accept and welcome:

SNAP / EBT food benefits (formerly known as 'food stamps')

Colorado SNAP Produce Bonus (CSPB) - this program provides $60 / month in FREE produce to SNAP users with at least $1 in benefits available (if you have only a few dollars in benefits left - this is the program for you! Come on out and we'll walk you through the magical math!)Offered by Quarter Acre and a Mule Farm through October 18, 2025 at Eastside PFM

Double Up Food Bucks (DUFB) - We can match up to $20 / day in SNAP benefits with $20 to spend on Colorado-grown produce (turning $20 of benefits into $40 to spend on local food)

PowerUp Protein - with this program - the first of its kind in Colorado - we add a $10 match to SNAP / Double Up transactions, to help purchase proteins such as meats, cheeses, nuts, dried beans, eggs (chicken, quail, duck) and more as they are available.

Fresh to Flourish - Common Spirit's Produce Prescription Program offered to patients of Southern Colorado Family Medicine, at St. Mary Corwin Hospital. This is not a match to any other program.

If you've been keeping track of the math, then you've realized it is kind of... mind-boggling!

Check out this real example from the Eastside Pueblo Farmers Market: A family visited our market for the first time and listened to the spiel about how to make the most of benefits in our space. Mom: "Ohhh I'll have to wait until next month, we only have a little over $5 left on the card." Us: Well, the CSPB program resets each month, so by waiting until next month, you are leaving $60 in free, local, freshest-you-can-get produce on the table. Also, with Double Up Food Bucks and PowerUp Protein, we (here at the market table) can turn $5 into $15. If you are willing to do 12 transactions to reach the $60, the farmer is willing to do 12 transactions. You seriously can turn that $5 of SNAP benefits into $75 - yes, I said 'seventy-five dollars' of locally produced food. Dad: "Oh yeah?? We'll be back!A little while later, they appeared.Mom and dad: We're back!!Us: Welcome back! How many transactions did you do?Mom: 12!! and now we're here for the other programs!Barb (awesome volunteer) runs their $5 SNAP transaction and hands the family $5 SNAP, $5 Double Up, $5 PowerUp Protein (we use a paper scrip for each of these)This family of seven or eight used $5 in SNAP benefits to take home $75 in the freshest locally produced food available!
