Since 2015, Amie Newsome has served as the Market Manager for the Charlotte Regional Farmers Market. With a bachelor’s degree in general Horticulture and a Masters in Parks, Recreation, Tourism, and Sports Management, she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her role. Prior to her current position, Amie spent 9 years as the Commercial Horticulture Extension Agent for Johnston County, NC, where she played a key role in establishing 9 farmers markets. Her expertise in marketing agricultural products, working with agribusinesses, and teaching agricultural topics make her a valuable asset to the market. Amie is passionate about her work and is excited to continue growing and developing the Charlotte Regional Farmers Market.
